Make Tea Time an occasion. . .

Not just an occurrence

Welcome to our Site!

The Little Tea Room is situated in the historic town of Market Drayton, on the boarder of Staffordshire and Shropshire, but only a few miles south of Cheshire, so a lovely spot to meet friends or family before / after exploring our local countryside and numerous places of interest.

Opened in May 2017, our Tea Room is located in one of the oldest Tudor buildings left standing after 'the great fire of 1651' when much of the town was destroyed after a fire broke out at the town bakery. But the origins of the town can be traced back to 950AD, when it's first settlers (probably Saxons) established their church on a high sandstone precipice above the river Tern.

The town architecture and history are absorbing, but even more so after a little self indulgence and participation of the wide selection of meals, snacks, homemade cakes and afternoon teas on offer at. . .
